This shot has the most wing blur and noise of the series..But I like it the best, must be the eye contact:-) As a group of Swallows flew around she (assuming a she) just kept turning and flapping her wings..Air traffic control, very fun to watch. More below (3 shots)<br />

While at the Hatchery yesterday on eagle watch the Mute did a fly-by

Yeehaw! Don and I going to the store,Don says don't forget the camera and we'll swing by the WL's,  steady rain...Pull in a low and behold we have a Wood Duck pair that looks to have decided to take up residence. Took some from the car window (from meaning window down), needed closer so got out, rain is a minor inconvenience:-)<br />

Now for some good light to have another go at them.

    funny how everyone thinks only a frontal burdy shot is successful.. the backsides of these creatures (and others) are often something to behold.

    George, many states have what are known as Bluebird trails with BB nest boxes that are checked on a regular basis..You local bird society will know if there is something like that in your area it is really worth a go see if you do.

    oh yeah, and they'll never face you either . . . when they are in the right light. Looks like it didn't bother you any. Great shot.
