Driving around looking for what ever, Don says 'deer always come out of that woods about dusk'. As if by magic there they were:-)
These guys were about 200-250 yards out so a real stretch, shutter was 1/80. Luck is a wonderful thing.

Ok not the best BIF shot, but it is a kingfisher in flight, I'll take it!

New gallery with just WL (wetlands) shots and more kingfisher. I actually got a good shot of him setting on a wire.
Mallard pair on a muskrat den.

I was told last summer we had a wetlands in the village. Knowing our village I figured a mud puddle and a couple cat tails. Oh how wrong could I have been?! Not large but it is protected and extremely nice.

Like this shot, maybe just because I like the houses. Both are the style one would see more in NO, tall and narrow with balconies on both floors, tall narrow windows. Really cool. Why they are built where they are is just nuts.

Did actually get a shot of a sq in motion that didn't blur, which I like.
Late yesterday went to practice BIF shots, Vandana has her geese, I use gulls:-) Nothing special here except it looks like a much nicer place that is really is.
What a sweet capture! I doubt it's luck, more like skill to me. Nice that they are all so nicely lit and focusing on you!

Thanks much everyone. I'm still a bit in shock I pulled this one off. Out of nine frames 2 where sorta ok, this one, and the rest hit the trash:-)

    Thanks again!

As I have always said, you are amazing at how well you can hold those lenses. If you were a guy with big strong arms, I'd kind of expect it, but how you hand hold those whoppers with your tiny frame is a gift, and an amazement. This is beautiful...and with the old jeep idling...incredible!

WOW! My son is out hunting right this very moment with it being the last day of rifle season... he would jump for joy to see a scene like this one. I must say I'm glad you captured it (such beautiful comp) instead of him running across it :-) Of course a freezer full is always nice but the portrait will look GREAT hanging on your wall. Great Capture!!!

Dear Santa: I have been a good boy this year and want a very large and heavy hunk of glass that will fit on the end of my camera. I know that being Santa you are capable such simple things, but here is the hard part I want you to give me the uncanny ability to hold this hunk of glass so steady that I am a human tripod. Thanks Santa ------

You say luck I say skill. NICE and NICE and NICE and NICE.
